Report of participation of students of QCS Rohini in SRGSMUN-2024
QCS, Rohini adjudged as the Best School Delegation at SRGSMUN 2024
Date: 26.10.2024-27.10.2024
SRGSMUN (Model United Nation) 2024 was organized on 26 October 2024 and 27 October 2024 at Shri Ram Global
School, West Delhi. It was a two-day conference in which the student delegates participated in committees i.e. ECOSOC,
UNSC, UNCSW, AIPPM and IP.
110 delegates across 10 institutions from all over Delhi-NCR participated in the event. Twenty-one students from QCS,
Rohini participated from class XI and XII in the Shri Ram Global Conference.
The results of the SRGSMUN 2024 were as follow
Sakshi Ojha of class XI served as an Executive Board (Rapporteur-Alongside the Chairperson) in The Economic and
Social Council.
Yashika of class XII won Best Delegate (I Position) in All India Political Party Meet (Deliberation upon violation of
Model Code of Conduct with special emphasis on communal politics) in which 25 students participated. She also
received a cash prize of Rs. 4000/-
Nandini of class XI and Tanisha Dabas of class XII received Honorable Mention (IV Position) and Verbal Mention (V
Position) respectively in Economic and Social Council (Russia-Ukraine war with special emphasis on economic
inflation) in which 17 students participated.
Pari Bhatia and Sutakshi Dutt of class XI, and Shivangi Bawari of class XII received Verbal Mention (V Position) in
United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (Deliberation upon sexual and reproductive health of women in
socially backward areas) in which 32 students participated.
Navya Dabas of class XI and Sakshi Solanki of class XII received Special Mention (II Position), and Kanishka and
Vaishnavi Rana of class XI received Verbal Mention (III Position) in International Press in which 20 students
participated.
Since the maximum number of positions were won by the students of QCS, Rohini, our school was adjudged as the
Best School Delegation at SRGSMUN 2024 out of 10 participating institutions, the students have once again displayed
the acumen.
The MUN Conference is a platform that provides insight to the students about various important socio- political issues.
This year the highlighted issues were Russia-Ukraine War with special emphasis on economic inflation, Israel- Palestine
Conflict, Women’s sexual and reproductive health communal violence. The students were able to showcase their
exceptional knowledge and skills in the field of diplomacy and international relations, which led them to be recognized
as outstanding performers.

GDGMUN (Model United Nation) 2024 was organized on 23.08.2024 and 24.08.2024 at GD
Goenka Public School,sector 22, Rohini, New Delhi. It was a two-day conference in which the
student delegates participated in various committees i.e., UNGA,UNHRC, UNODC, AIPPM,.IP
etc.
275 delegates across 10 institutions from 3 regions of Delhi NCR and adjoining regions
participated in the event.
Bhavi Chhikara of class XI represented our school and received the Honorable Mention (III
Position) in UNGA (The role of science and technology in international security and
disarmament). 34 students had participated in UNGA.
The conference provided an insight to the students about various important socio-political issues
such as Role of science and technology in international security and disarmament, Electoral bonds,
suppression of human right, counter terrorism, Israel and Palestine conflict which gave valuable
experience that can help them to explore the world in different aspects and become inspired to
change the world. The student was able to showcase their exceptional knowledge and skills in the
field of diplomacy and international relations, which led them to be recognized as outstanding
performers. This achievement is a testament to the quality of education and training that QCS
provides to its students.
QCS, Delhi student achieves laurel again at MUN
DATE: 22.08.2024-23.08.2024
QMSMUN (Model United Nation) 2024 was organized on 22.08.2024 and 23.08.2024 at
Queen’s Mary School, Northend, Model Town, New Delhi. It was a two-day conference in
which the student delegates participated in various committees i.e., UNGA,UNHRC,
UNICEF, WHO,.Lok Sabha etc.
375 delegates across 25 institutions from 3 regions of Delhi NCR and adjoining regions
participated in the event.
Yashika of class XII represented our school and received the Best Delegate (I Position) in
Lok Sabha (Electoral Reforms with special emphasis on One Nation One Election). 55
students had participated in Lok Sabha.
The conference provided an insight to the students about various important socio-political
issues such as Responsibility to protect doctrine, Electoral Reforms with special emphasis on
One Nation One Election, suppression of human right due to emerging technology, counter
terrorism, Israel and Palestine conflict which gave valuable experience that can help them to
explore the world in different aspects and become inspired to change the world. The student
was able to showcase their exceptional knowledge and skills in the field of diplomacy and
international relations, which led them to be recognized as outstanding performers. This
achievement is a testament to the quality of education and training that QCS provides to its
students.
Report of COLUMBANMUN-2024
QCS, Delhi students achieve laurel again at MUN

COLUMBANMUN (Model United Nation) 2024 was organized on 09 August 2024
and 10 August 2024 at St. Columba’s School, Ashok Place, New Delhi. It was a twoday conference in which the student delegates participated in committees i.e.,
UNHRC, Janta Sansad, International Press, UNGA, UNCSW, CTC, NATO etc.
500 delegates across 25 institutions from all over India participated in the event. Five
students from QCS, Delhi participated from class XI and XII in the Columban
conference.
Sakshi Ojha and Mehar Kang of class XI received Special Mention (III Position)
in UNHRC (Data privacy with emphasis on modern digital age) in which 114
students participated.
Yashika of class XII received Verbal Mention in Janta Sansad (Discussion on
electoral bonds and politically motivated MOEPM) in which 46 students
participated.
The conference provided an insight to the students about various important sociopolitical issues such as counter terrorism, data privacy which emphasis on modern
digital age, Israel- Palestine conflict, women role economically and socially which gave
valuable experience that can help them to explore the world in different aspects and
become inspired to change the world. The student was able to showcase their
exceptional knowledge and skills in the field of diplomacy and international relations,
which led them to be recognized as outstanding performers. This achievement is a
testament to the quality of education and training that QCS provides to its students

QCS, Delhi student achieves laurel again at MUN

RMUN (Model United Nation) 2024 was organized on 09.07.2024 and 10.07.2024 at Ryan
International School, Sector 25, Rohini, New Delhi. It was a two-day conference in
which the student delegates participated in five committees i.e., UNGA, UNSC,
UNHRC, AISM and GICNT.
300 delegates across 10 institutions from 3 regions of Delhi NCR and adjoining
regions participated in the event. Eleven students from QCS, Delhi participated from
class XI in the RMUN conference.

Position) in UNGA in which 110 students participated.

HMSMUN (Model United Nation) 2022 was organized on 25.11.2023 and 26.11.2023 Happy Model School, Janakpuri, New Delhi. It was a two-day conference in which the student delegates participated in two committees i.e., UNCSW and AIPPM.

QCS, Delhi students prove their mettle again at MUN
DATE: 24.08.2023 - 25.08.2023
QMS'MUN (Model United Nation) 2023 was organized on 24.08.2023 and
25.08.2023 at Queen Mary’s School, Northend, Model Town. It was a two day
conference in which the student delegates participated in various committees ie.
UNGA, UNSC, UNDP, DISEC, UNSCW and ECOFIN.
155 delegates from 11 schools had participated in the event. Twenty One students from
QCS, Delhi participated from class X and XI in the QMS'MUN conference.
Angel Goel and Sutakshi Dutt of class X received High Commendation(II Position)
in UNDP and UNSC respectively. Khushi Dahiya of class XII received Special
Mention (III Position) in DISEC. Sakshi Ojha, Jahnavi Ratan and Nandini Malik
of class X received a Verbal Mention in the UNSC, UNSCW and ECOFIN
respectively.
The conference provided an insight to the students about various important and
enhancing socio-political issues such as Disarmament and International Security,
Promotion of International Cooperation to come back illicit Financial Flows, Global
Biodiversity, Impact of Artificial Intelligence in changing information and Computer
Security in the Nuclear World. It was an enriching experience for all the student
participants as they received a platform to assess their verbal and linguistic skills along
with a broader perspective of various important issues in world politics.
QCS, Delhi students prove their mettle again at MUN
DATE: 2.08.2023 - 3.08.2023
RMUNC (Model United Nation) 2023 was organized on 2.08.2023 and 3.08.2023 at Ryan
International School, Sector-25, Rohini. It was a two day conference in which the student
delegates participated in various committees ie. UNGA, UNSC, UNHCR, ODC, PSC.
190 delegates from 8 schools had participated in the event. Twenty One students from QCS,
Delhi participated from class XI and XII in the RMUNC conference.
Komal of class XII and Yashika of class XI received High Commendation (II Position) in
the UNSC Historic and PSC respectively. Pooja of class XII was awarded a Verbal
Mention in the UNSC Historic.
The conference provided an insight to the students about various important and enhancing
socio-political issues such as Nuclear Policy of Iran, Uniform Civil Code, Terrorism and
Sustainable Development. The experience was valuable and inspiring, that can help them to
explore the world in different confiding and public speaking skills in the participants. It was an
enriching experience for all the student participants as they received a platform to assess their
verbal and linguistic skills along with a broader perspective of various important issues in
world politics.

Guru Nanak Public School, Punjabi Bagh, organised an online Interschool Competition. A Hindi declamation contest was organised in which students from different schools from all over India participated enthusiastically. Few Schools from outside India also participated in it.
In the event, the students from class VIII to XII were required to prepare a declamation in Hindi on a given topic and they were judged on the basis of Content, Articulation and Presentation ,Enunciation and Pronunciation, Expressiveness and Cohesiveness .
The participant from Queen’s Convent School was Preet Chaudhary from Class IX A. She performed enthusiastically and secured the Third position.

The history of the world is full of people who rose to the occasion and proved themselves by the sheer force of self-confidence, bravery, and tenacity. The young, ignited minds of our society are our greatest assets. We, at Queen’s Convent School, Rohini, cherish these youngsters and encourage them to explore their true potential by awakening their passions and cultivating their talents. The students of our school participate in various interschool and intra-school competitions, where they not only prove their mettle but also present tough competition for the other participants.
Some of our achievements for the current session are:
Queen’s Convent Wins the Rolling Trophy of KRITI – an Inter School Competition
In the month of May 2020 our students participated in an Inter School Competition - Kriti (Creating the Creation) which was organised by DAV Public School, Ashok Vihar, Delhi.
The host school had asked the participating schools to upload the videos of the students’ performances in various events on You Tube and to forward the links/scanned images to the email address of the host school. Our students participated in all the events of this competition. The competitions ranged from computer based to dance, art, news reporting, singing, cooking etc. The participation involved parents and children (in a few events) from classes I to XII.
NavyaMandirattaof class III won the Second Position in ‘Appreciate The Angels’ by expressing her gratitude and appreciating the Corona warriors in the form of a speech.
Myra Bisht of class IV won the First Position as a show stopper in ‘Fashion Facing The Fear’, modeling on the theme of how would be her first day after the Corona crisis is over.
MahikaBaluja of class V won the First Position in ‘Paint-Peace’, a poster making competition. She aptly drew her feelings of pain and peace during the Corona period.
Besides winning in these three competitions, our school also bagged the Rolling Trophy.
Queen’s Convent shines at FUTURAMA 2
‘Futurama2’ an inter school competition was organized by Himalaya Public Senior Secondary School in the month of June 2020.
Presenting her ideas ‘For Saving the Mankind by Generation Z’, SwarniManzkhola of class XI A designed a Web Portal on the “Impact of Bio- Weapon on Human Race” and bagged the First Position in the E- STEMpetition.
Sana Das of class VII A participated in Rang Manch (Mono Acting) on the theme ‘AaoJeeyen Corona Sang’ and secured the Third Position.
The die hard and never ending spirit and enthusiasm of the children is quite commendable and will continue to bring laurels to the school.

The Intra house Spell Bee Competition for classes I-II was held in the school premises. This competition was one of the numerous enjoyable competitions that give students a platform to learn spellings in different ways. This competition helped students improve their spellings, increase their vocabulary, learn concepts.
There were three rounds- two spelling words, four spelling words and students wrote three and four spelling words on a piece of paper. The teacher incharge repeated the word twice and students spelled the words Children participated enthusiastically in the competition. Their efforts and initiative was appreciated by one and all.

Classes I and II
An inter house competition What’s the good word’ was organised for classes I and II on 18-January-2019. There were three rounds in the activity. In round 1, the students were required to identify pictures and spell them correctly. In round 2, the students had to form two or three letter words using the word ‘HIPPOPOTAMUS’ and in the last round the students were required to spell different words.

WHAT'S THE GOOD WORD
An Inter-house Vocabulary Quiz Competition had been organized by Queen's Convent, Rohini on 20 August 2018. The topic of the competition was What's the Good Word. The quiz was divided into five rounds. In the first three rounds, the questions based on Homonyms, Homophones and One word for the group of words were asked. Spell check was also done in the fourth and fifth round. The fourth round was a buzzer round and the fifth was of dictation. Two students of each house from classes VI-IX participated in the quiz. The students were very enthusiastic and had prepared well for the competition. Everyone participated enthusiastically. The quiz was judged by Ms. Chinky Khurana and Ms. Shilpy Tyagi. “Spin a Yarn”
The School organized an Inter House Competition on 10 August 2018 for Classes III to V in the school premises. A team of four students from each house ie, Mother Teresa, Florence Nightingale, Sarojini Naidu and Helen Keller was shown few pictures on the spot and each team was given ten minutes to arrange those in sequence and narrate a story based on the pictures given. Each team was judged on the basis of expression, presentation and confidence. Such type of competitions help in enhancing the vocabulary and confidence level of the students. The judges of the event Ms. Deepika Aggarwal and Ms. Sanjana Gupta were truly mesmerized by the efforts put in by all the participants. The result of the competition was-

Report on InterSchool Competition
Queen’s Convent, Rohini had participated in an Inter School Competition SATURNALIA on
April 27, 2018 at St .Margaret Senior Secondary School, Rohini. Forty two schools participated in various
events. Our school participated in fourteen events out of fifteen . Queen’s Convent secured
SECOND POSITION in MYSTIC MATHS competition and bagged THIRD POSITION in SHLOKA VACHAN .The
Rolling Trophy was collected by Adharshila Public School. Overall it was a great learning experience for
the participants.
Inter House Competition-Poetry Dramatization (2018-19)
An Inter House Competition- Poetry Dramatization was held on 23 April 2018 in the school
premises. There were two categories Group I (VI &VII) and Group II (VIII & IX). Two
students from each houses participated in the competition. One student recited a narrative
poem and the other child dramatised it. The Competition was judged by the Co-ordinators :
Ms. Usha Ross, Ms. Punita Mishra and Ms. Vinitha R. The judgement was based on the

International French Spell Bee 2017
The Grand Finale of the Fifth International French Spell Bee competition was organised by Frehindi
Pvt. Ltd. on 16 January 2018 at C.D. Deshmukh Auditorium, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi. Adhisthatri Devi
Vats of class IX D had qualified for the Final Round of the competition. Only seven schools from Delhi
and NCR region had qualified for the grand finale, our school being one of them.
Our student had qualified for the round of competition after clearing two levels- written as well as
online quiz. It was an international event in which student participants from other countries like Abu
Dhabi, Switzerland, Qatar, and Dubai had participated.
M. Jorge de la Calle Martin, Director of Strategic Global Development and M. Javier Blazquez
Frances, Director of International Activities from Gredos San Diego Group of schools in Europe
felicitated the winners of the International French Spell Bee 2017. This Occasion was also a good
opportunity to meet and greet dignitaries from various embassies and educationists from abroad. It
was a very enriching experience. Adhisthatri Devi Vats of class IX D received Gold Medal and
certificate from the esteemed guests.
Ms. Rakhi Thakral, French Teacher also received a certificate as a good trainer, mentor and educator
for promoting French among the young learners of the language.
