Assessment is a systematic process of evaluating students learning, skills and overall Academic Progress. It not only measures academic knowledge, but also evaluates critical thinking, creativity, problem solving abilities and social skills.
The Evaluation system consists of both Scholastic as well as Co- Scholastic areas.
The Academic Session comprises of two terms: Term I and Term II
Assessment will be done regularly throughout the Academic Session as per the weightage of marks given below:

a) Internal Assessment : 30 Marks
1. Periodic Test – 05 marks
- One written test will be conducted for 25 marks per term and 05 marks weightage will be taken for final marking.
2. Multiple Assessment: 05 marks.
- It includes Reading, Recitation, Dodging table, Oral tests, etc.
3. Note Book : 05 marks.
- Maintaining note book along with regularity in submission, neatness, completion of work on time, etc.
4. Subject Enrichment Activities: 05 Marks.
- Subject Specific Activities aimed at the understanding and skill development like listening and speaking, model making, role play, etc.
5. Project Based Activities: 05 Marks.
- Project work, Practical work, etc.
6. Attendance: 05 Marks

b) Mid Term / Half Yearly & Annual Examination: Pen and paper exam will be conducted for 50 Marks each at the end of each term.
Assessment of Co-Scholastic Area:
Work Ex, art, music, dance, physical edu, etc. will be assessed continuously and graded on a 3-point grading scale (A to C).
Promotion Policy
*Students of classes III and IV will not be detained.
Passing Criteria for Class V
A student must secure at least 33% marks in each subject studied by her during the session to be declared PASS. It is also subject to the condition that a minimum of 25% of marks must be scored in Half Yearly Exam plus Annual Exam.
After retest if a student is not able to score minimum pass percentage, the student will be declared Essential Repeat in the same class.
Note: Every student must have a minimum of 75% attendance, failing which she will not be allowed to sit in the Final Examination.
